How much does storage cost?

Storage at Goulais Storage runs from $95 to $400 a month, depending on the size you need. A 10x10 indoor unit is $112 a month. Prices do not include 13% HST or the deposit.

How can I pay?

You can pay by credit card in the online portal, by Interac e-Transfer to contact@goulaisstorage.com, or by automatic monthly payment.

Is there a deposit?

Yes. A deposit equal to one month's rent is collected when you sign your storage agreement.

Do I have to sign a contract?

Yes. Everyone signs a storage agreement when they move in. Most people rent month to month and give 30 days notice to leave. We also offer long-term agreements, so call us if that suits you better.

When is rent due?

Rent is due on the 1st of each month. If you move in partway through a month, that first month is prorated.

How does the deposit work?

The deposit is equal to one month's rent. When you give your 30 days notice, it goes toward your final bill. It does not move with you between units.

You can get to your unit any time, day or night, every day of the year, holidays included. There are no set office hours you have to work around.

Yes. We plow the driveways and clear access to the units all winter, so you can still get to your things.

What size do I need?

A 10x10 holds about a one-bedroom apartment. A 10x15 holds a two-bedroom. A 10x20 holds a two to three bedroom house, or a vehicle. Not sure? Call us and describe what you have.

What types of units do you have?

Indoor building units at 10x10, 10x15, 10x20 and 12x14, sea container units at 8x10 and a full 40 foot container, a fenced outdoor compound, and open yard space.

Do you have heated or climate-controlled units?

No. Our indoor units and sea containers are enclosed and keep the weather out, but they are not heated or cooled.

If you are storing something that does not like cold or damp, like electronics or good furniture, cover it well and ask us which unit suits it best.

What Can I Store?

What can I not store?

No hazardous, flammable or explosive materials, no illegal substances, and no food, animals or plants. Units cannot be lived in, used to repair vehicles, or run a business out of.

For safety and legal reasons, you cannot store:

  • Anything hazardous, flammable or explosive
  • Illegal or controlled substances
  • Food that can spoil, animals, or plants

Can I store my boat, RV or trailer?

Yes. Boats, RVs, trailers, ATVs and snowmobiles go in the open yard or the fenced compound, with room to turn a truck and trailer around.

The property is fully fenced and gated with cameras running around the clock and lights across the grounds. The outdoor compound adds 10 foot fencing topped with barbed wire.
